Mooring vs Superset

A Superset alternative built around Claude Code

Superset runs many command line coding agents at once on a Mac, each task in its own git worktree. On 26 October 2026 it changed its name to Paradev. The product stayed the same, and its command line tool is still called superset.

Mooring covers the same ground with Claude Code at the centre. It is a free Mac app that runs Claude Code in real terminal tabs, several at once, each task on its own branch and worktree, with your tasks, usage and plan limits beside each tab.

Pick Mooring if

  • You work mostly in Claude Code and want an app built around it, with your list of tasks in the same window.
  • You want your plan limits watched for you, with sessions paused before a limit and picked up after it resets.
  • You prefer a native Mac app to one built on Electron.

Pick Superset if

  • You run Codex, Gemini CLI or other agents as much as Claude Code.
  • You want agents in the cloud or on other machines, checked from an iPhone, or started on a schedule.
  • You want code you can read and change, or you use an Intel Mac or Linux.
