Mooring 0.3.0
The backlog is reorganised around tags and priority, Claude can now get your attention when it needs you, and background sessions look after themselves — plus a sweep of worktree, window, and performance fixes.
FeaturesImprovementsFixes
A big release: the backlog is reorganised around tags and priority, Claude can now get your attention when it needs you, and background sessions look after themselves — plus a sweep of worktree, window, and performance fixes.
Backlog, reorganised
- Tags and priority replace groups. Instead of dragging notes between manual container groups, give a note tags and a priority. The list filters by tag chips (with an "Untagged" chip) and auto-sorts by priority, newest-first — there's nothing to reorder by hand. Right-click a card for Priority ▸ and Tags ▸.
- AI Suggest proposes tags that cluster related notes, on-device, with a preview before you apply.
- Large backlogs stay smooth while typing — the old grouped layout that could freeze the app on big backlogs is gone.
Claude keeps you posted
- Attention cues — when Claude finishes or waits for input, its tab shows a dot and Mooring posts a notification. An opt-in per-project hook extends this to projects that aren't even on screen; click the notification to jump straight back to the right tab and worktree.
- Default agents — three Claude agents are set up for you on first run, so an agent tab is one keystroke away.
Sessions that look after themselves
- Background tmux sessions are re-adopted automatically at launch — no more manual "reconnect" step — and duplicate tabs pointing at the same session are merged. A quiet presence glyph marks rows with a live session.
- A new sessions list in the status bar shows every background session with its folder, command, age, and attach state, with one-click copy-attach, reveal, or kill.
Worktrees & files
- "Send to New Worktree" is reliable — it waits for Claude to actually be ready before sending, works in every permission mode, and now keeps a note's image and file attachments instead of dropping them.
- The file tree and git pane follow the selected worktree, showing that branch's files and status rather than always the main checkout.
- Right-click a project or worktree for Copy Name.
Window & polish
- Sidebar, file-viewer, and backlog pane widths persist across launches, and the sidebar selection survives a hard quit (⌘Q) — a selected worktree is no longer reopened as its parent project.
- The vertical pane dividers now match the rest of the chrome in both light and dark mode.
- Mooring now ships an Apple Silicon–only build, roughly halving the download.
Faster & more reliable
- Fixed the new-note typing slowdown and line-wrap flicker, debounced the worktree git-status refresh so a rebase no longer storms the app, stopped file/git watchers from piling up as you move between projects, and cleared several launch/teardown freezes.
As always, Mooring updates itself — you'll get this automatically. Please report anything odd.
